How to read this story
A choice, a response, and what changed
Power ratings show how players influenced other people in the game. They are not odds of winning. Staying in the game does not by itself raise a rating. Winning Head of Household (HOH) can raise a player’s score while they can nominate people. That boost ends when their HOH reign ends.
Episodes 4, 15, 18

Early in the season, Melody gave Drew information about Ashley, and he changed his position on the vote. That is a small but important example: Drew responded to her, not the other way around. Melody also built ties with Lyric and, later, with a group that included Drew, Barrett, and Mallory. Naming a group did not guarantee that everyone would vote together.
Episodes 25, 28

They didn’t. When Mallory was in danger, Melody and Barrett tried to keep her. Drew won Blockbuster safety, changing who faced the vote, and then voted the other way. Mallory left 6–2. Melody and Drew were close, but closeness did not make their choices identical. Barrett later kept both of them off his opening block, showing that Melody’s smaller circle could still offer protection.
Episode 32

Melody finally got to take a direct shot in the double eviction. She won safety and then HOH. She nominated Dee and Devens. After Devens saved himself with the veto, Taylor asked Melody to put Drew up. Melody chose Yash instead. She made the nominations herself, but Drew and Devens voted Yash out over Dee. Melody wanted an icon gone; the voters gave her a different result. Her HOH began and ended in the same Episode, so it did not leave her with a lasting score increase.
Episodes 33, 34

Her bond with Drew faced one final test. Devens nominated both of them. Drew saved himself with the veto, leaving Melody beside Taylor. Drew voted Taylor out, trying to keep Melody. Dee voted against Melody, and Devens broke the tie to send her home.
What Melody’s season shows
Melody’s final Power total was 10. She changed Drew’s thinking, disagreed with his vote, and chose her own nominees. Drew’s final vote shows their bond was real. It also shows its limit: he could give her one vote, not the second vote or the tie-break she needed.
Did Melody’s tie to Drew help her more than it hurt her?
