Episode at a Glance

What Happened Since the Last Episode

Jason, Mallory, and LaTrice entered the BB Blockbuster. Mallory won by one tape and became safe, leaving Jason and LaTrice as the final nominees. Haley, Chuk, Dee, Angela, Melody, Mallory, Drew, Barrett, Taylor, Lyric, Yash, and Devens all voted to evict Jason, sending him out 12–0.

Drew and Barrett gave up their stated preference to protect Mallory once she was safe, while the wider governing structure closed around Jason. The Toolshed completed another target but continued losing internal trust. Dee, Devens, Kamu, and Yash strengthened the Wolfpack as a smaller coordinating group.

The Week 3 cycle ended after the vote. Kamu’s HOH authority and all cycle-specific Safety Locks expired. Fourteen active players remained; Jason’s player page freezes at this eviction boundary.

Power

Jason Loses His Last Broad Protection as Kamu’s HOH Authority Expires

These are the clearest and most consequential examples of power used in Episode 12, not every observed or attempted use. Visit the individual player pages for more information.

Legitimate Power

Kamu’s HOH authority expired after Jason’s eviction. Her underlying agreements remained, but the rights attached to the HOH role ended. Rating Effect: Kamu 4 → 2.

Reward Power

Several protection networks survived the vote, while Jason received no delivered protection. Benefits mattered where players responded; unanimous survival for LaTrice was not automatic power credit. Rating Effect: Rating stayed the same.

Coercive Power

Kamu could no longer impose nomination or replacement consequences. The formal consequence ended with Week 3. Rating Effect: Kamu 4 → 1.

Expert Power

Mallory won the Blockbuster by one tape. The win created safety but did not by itself prove accepted strategic judgment. Rating Effect: Rating stayed the same.

Referent Power

Every voter chose Jason over LaTrice. The absence of any delivered vote protection reduced Jason’s final relationship reach. Rating Effect: Jason 2 → 1.

Informational Power

The governing groups kept the Jason vote coordinated. Coordination produced a result, but no one player received sole credit for twelve choices. Rating Effect: Rating stayed the same.

Kamu’s office created the nomination structure, and that office expired after the vote. The 12–0 result still records twelve player choices rather than automatic power credit for the majority.

Analysis

Why Jason Was Evicted

Jason left for several connected reasons. He accurately recognized the backdoor, but earlier over-disclosure and broken reciprocal deals left him with little trusted protection. Lyric rejected his veto pitch, Kamu named him, and Mallory’s Blockbuster win removed the matchup that might have preserved some support. Once Jason faced LaTrice, every eligible voter independently chose Jason. The unanimous result showed a lack of delivered protection, but it did not prove that one alliance or one person controlled all twelve votes.

Bottom Line: Jason’s damaged trust left him without delivered protection, Kamu created the backdoor route, and Mallory’s one-tape win set the final matchup. All twelve voters then chose Jason over LaTrice for their own overlapping reasons.
